November News
The Extraordinary give is returning to Lancaster for its third year and Music For Everyone is thrilled to be a participating non-profit!
On November 21st, the Lancaster County Community Foundation is sponsoring a one-day, online giving event in which MFE will be one of the recipients. On November 21st, be sure to visit MFE’s Extragive page and donate! Every donation that is made is eligible to win MFE extra prize money from a $250,000 stretch pool that LCCF has committed to the event! This means that your donation could very quickly go from $100 to $1100, with the extra $1000 coming from the prize pool! So give early and give often, this day of giving is not to be missed.
This year for the extraordinary give, MFE will once again be teaming up with several other non-profits to throw one of the hottest parties of the year, generously hosted be Tellus360. That’s right, “The great Giving Gig” is returning Lancaster! If you went last year you know what a great time this event is. If you missed out… don’t miss it this year because it is going to be even bigger and better than last year! Live music, live art, Social media lounges, rooftop shenanigans, and the amazing Tellus360 crew, November 21st is going to be amazing!
MFE is also teaming up with Benchmark Construction to promote giving on the 21st with a party at benchmark headquarters (4121 Oregon Pike, Brownstown, PA 17508). This extraordinary event will take place from 5-8pm. There will be food, beverages, and live performances. This is slated to be a great event as well. If interested please email MFE with questions, or to RSVP.
MFE Fundraiser at Tellus360
Join MFE on Tuesday November 18th at Tellus360 as our intern Aaron Roddin hosts a benefit for MFE. This night is sure to be music and fun filled, and to support Music For Everyone. The event will run from 6:00-9:00 PM with a suggested donation of $8 for entry.
At the event there is also an opportunity to support Music For Everyone… AND… have a song written about you! That’s right, for a donation of $100 one of the bands performing at Tellus360 will write a song about any topic of your choosing and perform it that night! So get your donations and requests in now, there are limited spots (6), and song suggestions need to be in by Nov. 11th. If you have any questions, or would like to volunteer at the event please EMAIL MFE.

MFE Receives Grant From PA Council on the Arts!
We are thrilled to announce that MFE recently received a grant of $866 for our “MFE in the Schools” program for the second year in a row! MFE in the Schools is designed to address the “mentoring/instructional gap” in our schools by underwriting professional musicians to work alongside teachers and directly with students, providing individual and group instruction to students. The receipt of this grant is significant in that it is another piece of evidence that MFE is making a difference in our community as the PA Council on the Arts vets potential grantees very thoroughly. We look forward to building on this budding relationship in the future.
