MFE to Participate in Lancaster County Community Foundation’s Fourth Annual Extraordinary Give!
We are thrilled to announce that Music For Everyone will be participating in the fourth annual ExtraGive on November 20th! The ExtraGive 2015 is shaping up to be the biggest year yet, so be sure to mark your calendars for this one day online giving event. On November 20th be sure to visit the ExtraGive Website, choose MFE, and donate. There will be blocks of time throughout the day that each organization can earn an extra $1,000 in prizes when people like you make a donation. This means your donation, of whatever amount, could be increased by $1,000 through the LCCF! All you have to do is donate!
MFE will also be teaming up with several other nonprofits in Lancaster County, for the third year, to throw a rockin’ party to celebrate the Extra Give. Join us for a good time at Tellus360 for “The Great Giving Gig” at one of the coolest spots in town, for music, art, and a day that celebrates giving! We will see you on November 20th.
Music For Everyone and The Willie Marble Xperience Care About the Ta-Tas too!

This benefit has special significance for WMX and the Marblelettes as one of the Marblelettes is a breast cancer survivor who received treatment at LGH and took advantage of the fund the this event will benefit. She is thrilled to have an opportunity to pay it forward for someone else in need.
Please visit out FB page ‘the Willie Marble Xperience’ and ‘like’ us and “share” the event far and wide to help raise some money for in important local Breast Cancer patient support system during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This will be a fun time, all for a great cause, so get there early so you don’t miss out.

Suggested donation: $10.00. But give what you can … a bit more or a little less… it’s all appreciated!
LG Health Cancer Patient Support Fund
This Fund provides a financial safety net for cancer patients and their families so they can focus on healing rather than the financial stress that may result from the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. This Fund ensures that cancer patients undergoing treatment at the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute have access to resources to assist with daily living expenses, uncovered medical expenses, prescriptions, and transportation to treatment appointments.

MFE Scholars
We are pleased to announce our 2015 Fall “MFE Scholars”, Natalie James and Samantha Schlechter. Both are Millersville University Music Education majors, who aspire to become music teachers. In exchange for their $2,000 scholarships, they will work in a SDOL school under the direction of a music teacher. Two additional MFE Scholars will be chosen later this winter to work in a school during the spring of 2016.
MFE in the schools Returns and Expands, Bigger than ever!!
As the school year shifts into full gear, “MFE in the Schools” begins its fourth year as a successful community based program. This program is designed to address the “mentoring/instructional gap” in music programs by placing seasoned professional musicians in the schools to work alongside teachers and directly with students to provide lessons as well as small and large group ensemble mentorship. Michael Jamanis Jr. (strings), Ryan Kauffman (woodwinds), Gentry Stoltzfus (Brass) and Angela Lansinger (Strings) and their team of volunteers will work directly with more then 300 students per week!

Keys for the City 2015 Ends its Highly Successful Run.
As cold weather approaches and the pianos have left the city, it is much quieter in Lancaster. This year’s Keys for the City program was a huge success creating lasting memories and generating a buzz throughout the city. Lancaster also solidified another year of being the “Street Piano Capital of the World”! Missing the Keys? Be sure to visit our Facebook Page and the Keys Website to recap this year’s community exhibit. Fear not! Depending on our ability to secure the necessary sponsorship support, we hope to bring Keys for the City back in 2016.
Still need to get that Keys for the City fix? Now through January you can visit the Park City shopping center and check out “Quaver” the interactive multiplayer piano! This piano designed by the brilliant minds at MajorMega, is a fusion of technology, art, and a whole lot of fun. Visit the Quaver website to learn more!
Music for Everyone would like to thank all of the sponsors who made the Keys for the City 2015 possible and for further solidifying Lancaster’s status as the “Street Piano Capital of the World”
