November News

The Extraordinary give is returning to Lancaster for its fourth year, and Music For Everyone is thrilled to be a participating Non-Profit!

On November 20th, the Lancaster County Community Foundation is sponsoring a one-day, online giving event in which MFE will be one of the beneficiaries. On November 20th, be sure to visit MFE’s ExtraGive Page and donate! Every donation that is made is eligible to win MFE extra prize money from a stretch pool of at least $300,000 that LCCF has committed to the event! This means that your donation could very quickly go from $100 to $1100, with the extra $1000 coming from the prize pool. So give early, and give often.

We are also proud to announce that MFE will once again be partnering with several other non-profits to throw one of the hottest parties of the year, generously hosted by Tellus360. That’s right, “The Great Giving Gig” is returning to Lancaster! If you went last year, you know what a great time this event is. If you missed out last year, don’t miss it this year because it is going to be even bigger and better. More live music, art, photobooths, social media lounges, all round shenanigans, and of course, the wonderful Tellus360 crew. November 20th is going to be AMAZING!

Making the November 20th ExtraGive even more amazing is our partnership with Benchmark Construction and several other nonprofits at their event downtown in the Ware Center. This extraordinary event   will take place from 5:00pm-8:00pm in the Ware Center. There will be food, beverages, miniature horses, and live performances, including a 5:00PM performance by the MFE Student Strings. This event free and open to the public

So on November 20th be sure to stop downtown and check out all of the events surrounding the Extraordinary Give, and while doing so, please consider a donation to Music For Everyone. Thank you.

MFE and the Willie Marble Xperience Tellus360 Concert Series

Music For Everyone has joined forces with the mysteriously swampadelic Willie Marble Xperience and Tellus360 in a concert series to benefit Lancaster non-profit organizations. This month’s concert will benefit Lancaster New Sounds and be held on November 12th.

Doors will open at 7:00pm and the show will begin at 8:00pm. The event is for ages 21+ and admission is by donation.

MFE Participating in “Gifts That Give Hope” Alternative Gifts Fair.

As the Holidays are fast approaching why not consider an alternative form of gift giving this year? MFE is participating in Gifts That Give Hope, which is an alternative gift fair occurring on December 12th. Purchasing Alternative gifts is an opportunity to give back and MAKE A DIFFERENCE to the larger community and honor your friends and loved ones at the same time. Instead of purchasing traditional gifts, participants purchase meaningful donations to local and global non-profits while improving the lives of others who are not on anyone’s gift list! So join us on December 12th from 10am-4pm at the Farm and Home Center (1383 Arcadia Rd Lancaster PA 17601). This is a great chance for you to give a child the gift of music while knocking out your holiday shopping!

…And The Winner Is… “MFE Presents: The Showcase” Final Round Results:

Beginning in January 2015 MFE hosted a singer-songwriter showcase/contest on the third Wednesday of every month at Tellus360. Each month a singer songwriter was showcased. The four artists who generated the largest audience during their show had the opportunity to perform at the October showcase finale, which was also a benefit for MFE. The four artists who made it to the final round were Jean Synodinos, Steve Chambers, Mindy Nolt, and The Robert Bobby duo. We had a record turnout for the event, with almost 200 fans of the Showcase in attendance! We would like to thank all of the supporters who came to enjoy live music over the course of the year, and MFE would like to congratulate Mindy Nolt for being this year’s winner.

Don’t worry, we will be bringing the showcase back next year, so stay tuned as there will be lots of new faces.

MFE and Tellus360 are combining forces to continue to expand the Lancaster Festival of Voices 2016!

Tellus360 and Acapellus will be joining the mix. We will be releasing an official schedule shortly, but this year’s FOV will include several performances, group singing, and workshops that are free and open to the public! Stay tuned and be sure to mark your calendars for April 1st-3rd, The Lancaster Festival of Voices will be rocking the town!
