Doors will be at 7:30pm and the show will begin at 8:00pm. The event is for ages 21+ and admission is by a suggested donation of $10.
About Lancaster Dollars for Higher Learning
In 1961, the Citizen’s Scholarship Foundation awarded $5,400 in interest-free loans to 15 graduating high school seniors. It was the first line of loans issued by the entity that would eventually become Lancaster Dollars for Higher Learning.
By 2013, LDHL was able to issue more than $960,000 in loans to over 600 students. Every year, LDHL disburses nearly a million dollars in interest-free loans to students with demonstrated need.
Without regard to race, ethnicity, color, creed, gender or age, LDHL has helped students from Lancaster County realize their dreams of attending accredited two-year and four-year institutions of higher learning as close as Millersville, PA and as far away as Alaska and California.
With only three paid staffers and a board of volunteers, we continue to act as the flagship lender of interest-free loans for students who have graduated from Lancaster County high schools.
For more than 50 years, Lancaster Dollars for Higher Learning has been helping graduates become students and students become graduates.
About Music For Everyone
Music For Everyone is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to raising the awareness and resources to strengthen the role that music plays in our schools and communities.Since 2006, MFE has awarded well over $1.6 million in grants, scholarships and direct program support to schools and community arts groups in Lancaster County.
Here’s why we exist:
Music is important to our community.
Research shows that music education helps create strong schools and vibrant communities.
Music programs are in financial trouble.
Despite overwhelming evidence of their value, funding for music programs is being slashed.
Music for Everyone is doing something to help.
Our mission is to cultivate the power of music for education and community building.
Our strategy employs three steps:
1. Consult with education and community leaders to identify and assess needs of school and community based music programs,
2. Raise community awareness of those needs and resources to address them,
3. Strategically invest those resources to effectively and efficiently address those needs.
