MFE Community Chorus to Perform on the Roof of Tellus360 for a Holiday Sing-a-long

On Friday December 15th, at 7pm, The MFE Community Chorus, accompanied by the one and only Big Boy Brass, will perform their holiday sing-a-long concert on the roof of Tellus360 in downtown Lancaster. Come on down and join the chorus in song and random merriment! In fact, feel free to join in and practice a random act of music yourself. For more information on the Community Chorus visit their website HERE.

About the Music For Everyone Community Chorus:

Who are we?  Starting as an idea of Steve Chambers and founding director A.J. Walker, a small group of singers has grown into a large community chorus. Most of our members live in Lancaster County, PA. We sing a variety of songs, in many languages, learned by repetition.  Our current Artistic Director is Jonathan Shoff.

Where are we? We perform mostly in the Lancaster City area and sometimes elsewhere in the County and region. We have taken bus trips to perform in Philadelphia and Baltimore.

When are we together?  We rehearse most Mondays at 7:00 pm – 8:30 ish (except for a short summer break) at the Community Mennonite Church of Lancaster.  We have an annual summer/fall workshop to learn new repertoire and build community.

Why are we?  To have the special type of fun that comes from working together towards a goal. It’s about community + beauty. Music is the vehicle. The occasional tingling sensation when the sopranos through basses are creating that sound, is a bonus.

And you?  Enjoy our performances. If you’d like to face the audience with us, you are welcome to email us at to get on our wait list (we are starting to need to manage our size). If you email, include ‘join’ on the subject line, and, if you know your range, tell us your voice part.  We may add new singers early in our season, for plenty of rehearsal time before performing. Our seasons begin in August and January.

About Music For Everyone:

Music For Everyone is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to raising awareness and resources to strengthen the role that music plays in our schools and communities.

Here’s why we exist:

Music is important to our community.
Research shows that music education helps create strong schools and vibrant communities.
Music programs are in financial trouble.
Despite overwhelming evidence of their value, funding for music programs is being slashed.
Music for Everyone is doing something to help.
Our mission is to cultivate the power of music for education and community building.
Our strategy employs three steps:

1. Consult with education and community leaders to identify and assess needs of school and community based music programs,
2. Raise community awareness of those needs and resources to address them,
3. Strategically invest those resources to effectively and efficiently address those needs.
