Music for Everyone exists to cultivate the power of music as an educational, community building and public health tool to transform lives, schools, and communities in Lancaster County. Since our organization’s founding in 2006, MFE’s impact on the role that music plays in Lancaster County has been significant.

Music For Everyone is currently seeking to fulfill the position of “Director of Community Singing” to further our organizational mission of cultivating the power of music in Lancaster County.
Director of Community Singing
Music For Everyone seeks to hire, on a part-time basis (approximately 20 hours per week), an organized, dynamic, creative individual, to build a community-wide culture and network of singing by developing programming to encourage, promote, create, and implement community-wide singing.
The position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Go into schools to work alongside teachers and directly with students in choral programs.
- Conceive, create, and implement various public community singing events such as:
- Community sing-a-longs
- Singing “Flash Mobs”
- Community Sing-a-longs during Music Fridays
- Build a community singing network by making connections and building synergies among various schools, arts organizations, clubs, non-profits, and community singing groups.
- Develop and implement programs that leverage sings for individual therapeutic and public health purposes, including (but not limited to) senior citizens, veterans, and dementia patients.
- Serve as organizer/director of MFE’s Festival of Voices.
- Develop a Children’s Community Chorus.
- Direct MFE’s Community Chorus (depending on status of current and future directors).
Salary: $30,000 per year.
