Keys for the City 2024 marks the fifteenth year of the MFE Street piano program. MFE is incredibly excited to continue the tradition of Lancaster’s longest running and most impactful interactive, mixed media public art project back to the streets.

In addition to the impact that Keys for the City has, providing public access to music making opportunities 24/7 from May – September, the program’s impact reaches even further. As school budgets get cut, music and arts programming are often the first to be limited or removed from a school’s curriculum. Funds raised through the Keys for the City go directly to supporting schools music programs throughout Lancaster County.

Now YOU can have your name on a Keys for the City piano. Sign up as a “C-Note Sponsor” and for a $100 donation, we’ll place any name you like on a Keys for the City Piano!

And, if having your name on the piano wasn’t cool enough, the funds raised through Keys for the City will be invested into MFE’s instrument grant program, putting new instruments directly in kids hands and strengthening music programs throughout Lancaster County.
