The MFE Sound Factory, an El Sistema Inspired After School Program

Starting Mid-October, Music For Everyone hosts an after school music program featuring strings, percussion, brass, and woodwind. Youth musicians are invited to join The MFE Sound Factory, working together in a stimulating, interactive, and creative environment. MFE underwrites all expenses, allowing students to attend at no cost to the participant, expanding the musical opportunities available to them. Our in-person after school music program resumes in October and runs through the duration of the 2024-2025 school year. All students, regardless of instrumentation, are encouraged to attend all three days of the after school programming. Sessions will be held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at New Creation United Methodist Church (10 West Farnum St).

Schedule

Starting October 9th* the in-person schedule will be:

  • Tuesday 3:45-5:30pm – Combo Ensembles – Improvisation and large ensemble workshops (5th – 12th grades – Strings, Woodwind & Brass, Percussion)
  • Wednesday 3:45-5:30pm – Beginner Ensembles – (3rd – 6th grades – Strings, Woodwind & Brass, Percussion)
  • Thursday 3:45-5:30pm – Intermediate and Advanced Ensembles (7th – 12th grades – Strings, Woodwinds & Brass, Percussion)

*Please Note: No students will be admitted before 3:30pm into New Creations for rehearsal.

I hereby consent that any such image, likeness, or voice contained in photographs, recordings, andtapes are the property of MFE, which shall have the right to print, reprint, publish, copy, vend,perform or represent publicly, or create derivative works based on and using the image, likeness,or voice depicted in such photograph, film, or sound recording as it may desire free and clear of any claim whatsoever on my part or the part of the above-named minor. I also understand that once the above-named minor’s image, likeness, or voice recording is published on a web site, it can be downloaded by any computer user. Personal information, such as a addresses and telephone number will never be published. If a minor’s name is used with a photograph, film, or sound recording, it will be in the form of a first name and last initial. For example, student Jane Doe may be listed as “Jane D.”Therefore I agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless MFE, its officers, employees, agents,successors and assignees (the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims and liabilities resulting from this publishing.
